Maryland Claims Investigation’s management team has
over 100 years of combined experience in the field. They
are members of the Maryland Investigators and Security Association,
Professional Investigators Alliance of Maryland, and
the National Council of Investigation & Security Services. They frequently
attend continuing education seminars provided by MICPEL and
the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Education
Association to stay up-to-the-minute on the laws affecting
private investigators.
Robert H. Jones – President
Bob Jones founded Maryland Claims Investigation in 1989.
He has over 30 years of investigation experience, the majority
of which focused on the surveillance and video taping of
workers’ compensation and liability claimants. Bob
and Maryland Claims are licensed in Maryland, Delaware,
Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District
of Columbia. He oversees the daily operation of the corporation,
manages accounts and handles his own caseload. Bob has
been a guest speaker for the Baltimore Claims Association,
MICPEL’s “Hot Tips in Workers Compensation” and
the Maryland Workers’ Compensation and Educational
Association Conference in Ocean City, Maryland. He has
testified many times before the Maryland Legislature regarding
issues affecting the private investigative profession.
Russ Ball – Vice President
Russ joined Maryland Claims Investigation in 1993 as an
investigator. He has over 16 years of investigation experience,
especially investigating workers’ compensation and
liability claimants. He is licensed in Maryland, Delaware,
Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District
of Columbia. Russ is responsible for the daily operation
of the corporation, including staff management and maintaining
direct contact with insurance adjusters and attorneys regarding
new assignments and active cases, as well as his own caseload.
He has been a guest speaker for the Baltimore Claims Association
and is a member of the Maryland Self-Insurers & Employers
Compensation Association. He has testified before the Maryland
Legislature regarding issues affecting the private investigative
profession. Russ is a member and has served as
Vice President of Investigations for the Maryland Investigators
and Security Association, the largest Private Detective
association in the state of Maryland.
Todd Crawford – Supervisor
Todd began working for Maryland Claims Investigation in
1991 and is a Regional Supervisor. He has 25 years of investigation
experience and has testified in hundreds of cases before
district and circuit courts and the workers’ compensation
commission. Todd is licensed in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania,
Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
He supervises, trains, and schedules the investigators
in his area, as well as his own caseload.
Craig Herwig – Supervisor
Craig began as an investigator with Maryland Claims Investigation
in 1994. He has over 20 years of experience in the field
of investigation and was formerly a Corporal with the Baltimore
County Police Department. Craig is licensed in Maryland,
Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the
District of Columbia. His responsibilities include the
investigation and resolution of cases involving potential
insurance fraud, training and supervising the investigators
on his team, as well as handling his own caseload.
Bill Dewan – Supervisor
Bill joined our team at Maryland Claims Investigation in
1996. With a BA degree from the University of Maryland
specializing in criminology, he has 15 years of experience
in the field of investigations. He has testified for our
clients at hundreds of workers' compensation
hearings, as well as several state and federal jury trials. He
is currently licensed in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania,
Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Bill's current
responsibilities include surveillance for various types
of liability, disability and workers
compensation claims and the supervision and training
of investigators on his team, as well as handling his
own caseload.
As you can see, the management team at Maryland
Claims Investigation is directly involved in the surveillance
and investigation of claims assignments through constant “up to the minute” contact
with investigators in the field. |
